Candidate must manage and maintain present customer database along with developing new contacts. Commitment to customer satisfactions is a must! Knowledge of sales techniques, iSeries and NT servers, latest versions of Windows, IBM WebSphere, and peripheral hardware and software computer products such as EDI, Imaging, Radio Frequency and bar coding a plus. We are a 20 year old Long Island based IT consulting organization that focuses on providing Value Based Information Solutions for Distribution, and Warehousing organizations. We resell an iSeries (System i5) based ERP package from Infor known as Aplus (formerly from daly.commerce) Our account base is in the NY Metro area.
We seek an ERP implementation professional with extensive project management and implementation experience. Roles and responsibilities to include participation in the entire life cycle, from pre-sales assessment through implementation and follow up. Will work closely with clients to set and meet expectations and deliver solutions on time and within budget. Must have extensive experience in Gap Analysis, Needs Assessment, and Project Planning. Experience implementing iSeries based solutions. Must be able to demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in conflict issue resolution.
We are looking to increase our Installation Department with individuals who know the marketplace and can hit the road running.
Skills/Qualifications:
- RPG Programming & iSeries background required.Minimum of five years of consulting experience in ERP Implementation , Distribution experience: Fine Paper, Industrial Paper, Jan San, Food, Food Service, Industrial Distribution, Furniture, and other Wholesale distribution environments.
- Responsibilities also include involvement in pre-sales efforts, client training, and review of existing systems to offer improvement and recommendations.
- Must have strong organizational and time-management skills to be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have solid verbal and written communications skills to be able to interact effectively with the client and project team members.
- Must be able to take direction from others as well as work unsupervised.
- Must be able to learn new skills quickly and effectively.
- Must be able to travel to Customer in the NY Metro area.
Experience in any of these marketplaces or if you have experience training or using any of the following software products BPCS, Mapics, VAI System 2000, IBS, Dynax, PKMS, Assist, SAP, Profit 21, JDE, Peoplesoft, Island Pacific, would be a plus.
